A health and wellness coach (or just health coach) takes a 360° approach to wellness with their clientele. Working closely with clients, health coaches customize wellness routines tailored to individual needs, paving the way for a healthier, more fulfilling life. This means that you are getting more than just one piece of the health and wellness puzzle when you work with a health coach. In fact, my clients get help with their nutrition, workouts, mindset, sleep, stress management and recovery when we work together.
A health coach is going to be able to provide you with a more well-rounded routine than a personal trainer or nutritionist, but you should make sure they have the proper qualifications before following the regime provided.
When I work with my clients, I make sure to speak to them individually, gather information about their goals and current struggles, and assist in formulating a plan that will actually stick and can be easily implemented into their lifestyle. Not everyone is going to succeed on the same plan, that's where one on one coaching becomes the star.
You can google a workout, or even a meal plan, but knowing what to do isn't enough to succeed in reaching your health goals. You need support, guidance and accountability to take small steps every day towards your optimal health.
